Wendy Liu / Piano

Ms. Wendy is  the piano teacher and founder of Aria Music Studio. She began her piano training at the age of five and was in the G.A.T.E. music program during her secondary education in Taichung, Taiwan. Wendy received her Bachelor of Music Degree from National Taiwan Normal University, one of the most prestigious colleges in Taiwan, and Master of Music Degree from San Francisco State University. She has performed throughout North America, Asia, and Europe in solo recitals, chamber music performances, and orchestral/chorus concerts.

     In 1997,  Wendy was awarded one of the best music teachers among the middle schools in Taichung County, Taiwan and served as an adjudicator for numerous music competitions. 

     Ms. Liu was a high school faculty member (2009-2012) of San Francisco School of the Arts , a CA distinguished high school in the city and is still currently teaching in S.F.U.S.D. With her California single subject teaching credential in music, she has been teaching piano in  San Francisco Bay Area for almost 20 years.

     Wendy is passionate about teaching piano and  strives to be understanding in character to each and every student. She especially enjoys helping students develop their love of piano and  piano skills over time and seeing them reap the benefits of their hard work. Her students recognize her as a positive, caring and a very patient teacher.  

​     Wendy is currently a member of Music Teachers' Association of California, Music Teachers of National  Association, and National Guild of Piano Teachers.

 George  Pascoe / Saxophone, Flute and Clarinet

George attended University of the Pacific from 2006-2010 where he received a Bachelors of Music in Saxophone Performance and a Minor in Music Theory Magna Cum Laude.  He studied saxophone with Dr. Don DeGrade (Stockton Saxophone and Bassoon Guru) and Prof. David Henderson (San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco and Premiere Sax Quartets), clarinet with Dr. Patricia Shands (Sacramento Philharmonic, Stockton Symphony, and internationally renowned clarinetist), flute with Prof. Matt Krejci (Sacramento Philharmonic), and bassoon with Ross Edgar (up-and-coming bassoonist). In his years at Pacific, George played saxophone, clarinet, and flute in the University Concert Band; saxophone in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, clarinet in the University Symphony Orchestra, and flute in the Pacific Flute Choir.  

George also was a member of various chamber groups on all 4 saxophones, including alto in the XYZ Saxophone Quartet who performed at the NASA (North American Saxophone Alliance) regional conference in New Mexico and NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling) regional conference in Seattle.  George was also a member of the Pacific Pep Band where he was director his senior year.

George won many awards and recognitions which include winning the University of the Pacific Concerto Competition in 2010, being selected for Pacific's Honors Concert, and being a finalist in Yamaha's Celebrate Music competition with his arrangement for the XYZ Saxophone Quartet. Currently, George is teaching band and guitar at Balboa High School in San Francisco and holds California teaching credential in music.
